Cultural influences

I can’t say surely, whether cultural influence is bad or good. Every coin has either side, every phenomenon has its bad and good features. Globalization is a way of cultural exchange, it helps people from all corners of the world understand each other. But cultural influence can just kill native culture. People are becoming much alike.

In this situation, how we can learn something new from each other?

Anyway, I’d like to talk about different ways of spreading cultural influence and match their dangerous sides.

The first way of spreading cultural influence appears when one nation conquers the other’s historical territory. History proves that often winner nation makes the conquered nation to follow his traditions,  wear his national clothes, etc. It has also become very prestigious for the defeated nation to look like the stated members of winner nation. The second way is rather peaceful way:  when nations live togetheror side by side  cultural exchange naturally appears. Two nations are neighbors, it means they trade with each other, learn languages of each other and mixed type of marriages appear. Also, this way appears when people from one country emmigrate to another, taking their culture and language along with them to their new place of habitation. The third way is much more modern than the other two: another way of spreading influence is media and the Internet. Rich countries always advocate their culture and lifestyle with the help of different films, fashionable music and novels, social networks, etc. Nowadays looking like a European or American is very fashionable. I think this way is more dangerous because it spreads influence by manipulating people and their ambitions.
