Yesterday we visited the only Zoo in Yerevan. We found out that it is far from being a perfect one. The cages provided for the animals are not relevant to international standards. I think they are very much like a prison for the animals. We felt pity for them as they don’t have enough space for roaming freely especially the tigers, lions, birds… Some of them lay just on the ground in the sun looking at us with exhausted faces. Some of them were walking to and fro in the small cages like mad ones. I think before conceiving the idea of setting Zoos they should intend making up natural habitats for each of them. If this keeps on furthermore the animals will die gradually…
