English Club. Friendship

I am glad that in the scope of “English club” activities I had an opportunity to present my meditations about friendship, about the role of friends in my life. After my presentation we discussed some statements about friendship by Camus, Aristotel, Plutarch... and quoted from them, at the some time desplaying our own judgments about that notion.
And now I would like you to know how I view friendship in general.
No doubt that everyone dreams of having a true and faithful friend, but not all of us are lucky enough to have one. And I think we find friends when we stop searching them. Friendship is something which enters your life unconsciously, but becomes the part of your inner world consciously. Friendship is something which can hardly be defined, but it is something which is always with you like your own shadow. But as Greek historian, essayist, biographer Plutarch has said. “ I don’t need a friend who changes, when I change, who nods , when I node, My shadow does it much better.” So while making friends, I think, we should take this statemant into account.
Frankly speaking I am rather sociable and outgoing person, that’s why I have many friends and I am happy with them. They are pleasant people and I am never bored with them. But nevertheless we need someone, whom we can call “Best friend”. For example for me, the best friend isn’t the person I always share my secrets with, but I forget about them during the time spending with her. And she is the only person I socialize with not only because we have much in common but we are different enough to complete each other. Now I would like to quote the words of Albert Camus, who says. ““Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.” I think this saying can be laid in the background of real friendship.
They say that Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art. It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival.
