España estáen el sudoeste de Europa, en la peninsula Iberica. La capital es Madrid y estáen el centro del país. En España hay diecisiete Comunidades  Autonomas. Ceuta y Melilla son ciudades  autonomas; están en el norte  de Africa.  España es una monarquia parlamentaria; Juan Carlos I es el rey de España. En España  hay mas de cuarenta  y seis  millones  de habitantes  y cuatro  lenguas  oficiales: el español  (castellano), el  gallego, el vasco  y el  catalan. Hay dos archipielagos:  las Baleares en el Mediterraneo y las Canarias en el Atlantico. Los   principales ríos son: Duero, Tajo, Guadiana y Guadalquivir (Océano Atlantico) y Ebro (Mar Mediterraneo). España es un país montañoso; el Mulhacen es el monte más alto de la Penisula. Ciudades  importantes son: Barcelano, Bilbao, Valencia, Sevilla  y Zaragoza. Malaga es la capital de la Costa del Sol. Salamanca es una ciudad monumental, con una universidad muy antigua. En San Sebastian hay un festival internacional de cine muy importante. El turismo es el principal recurso economica.

Spain is situated in the south-western part of Europe, in the Iberian Peninsula. The capital is Madrid, in the very center of country.  There  are  seventeen  autonomous  communities, Seuta  and Melia  are  autonomous  cities  belonging to Spain, they are  situated  in  northern  Africa. Spain is a parliamentary monarchy, Juan Carlos the first is the king of Spain.

The  population  of Spain  is more  than  forty-six  million,  there are  four  official  languages: Spanish (Castilian), Galician,  Basque and Catalan. There  are  two  archipelagos: the Balearic  Islands in the  Mediterranean  sea and  the Canary Islands  in the  Atlantic Ocean.

The main  rivers  are  as  follows: the Douro,  the Tagus river, the Guadiana  river,(belonging  to the  Atlantic  Ocean) and  the  Ebro River  running  into  the  Mediterranean. Spain is a mountainous country, Mulhacen is the highest peak at the peninsula. Principal cities are as follows: Barcelona, Bilbao, Valance, Seville and Saragossa. Malaga is the capital of Costa del Sol. Salamanca is a monumental city, there is also an ancient university. In Saint Sebastian a very famous international cinema festival is held every year. Tourism is the main economic resource of the country.
