It has been more than a week since my first class here. Hospitable is always the first word I would use to describe the Armenians I have met. Whenever I am at school, or even on the street, everyone will say hi to me, everyone wants to interact with me, or even wants to take a selfie with me. As a foreigner, I feel so much love here, in which I don't think I would do the same to foreigners I meet in Hong Kong. I still remember there is one time when I was sitting outside the snack store at the Mother School, someone (I would guess it was one of the teaching staff) offered me a few pieces of bread, in which I was especially starving at that time. This is one of the many examples that I feel love in this school, and in Armenia.

Living in MSKH is an interesting experience. I am blessed to have the chance to visit the vocational schools, kindergarten, primary school, and of course, the Mother School where I am currently teaching. One thing that I have noticed here is, students really enjoy going to school.  They have fun at school, and are also glad to see their friends too. Of course, I can tell that they have really good relationships with their teachers. We are all just like a big family.

I tried my best to engage in different activities within the school. I like how the school has so many different spots for students to hang out. I have always been an active person in sports, so you won’t be surprised seeing me at the table tennis hall or the basketball court (of course I want to thank you all the teaching staff for not blaming my annoyance). I also had the chance to train with the school volleyball team, invited by my dear friend Alik. They are all very energetic and I really enjoyed playing with all of them. Just like any other students in school, they are all excited to interact with me, trying their best to communicate with me. So far, it has been an amazing time in Armenia and I am enjoying it J shnorhakalut’yun everyone!
