An Interesting Format: Teacher-student Collaboration

Today Levon Mkrtchyan, the Minister of ES of RA, has visited the "Mkhitar Sebastatsi" Educomplex, where the start of the annual "Plein Air 2016", summer camps of further education, youth summer work and teachers' camps was given. Teenagers from the regions of RA, Artsakh and Georgia take part in the summer camps. Levon Mkrtchyan walked around the schools of the Educomplex, got to know the material and technical base and the projects being implemented in summer.
During the talk with journalists the minister mentioned that he had visited the Educomplex 7-8 years before, and there were significant changes. "First of all, the idea of the summer camp has entirely been realized. We should pay more attention to activities in our educational programmes. Outer-school education is very important for the child development. Education is generally based on two basic values: freedom and responsibility, and the more fluent that transition is, the greater the school mission becomes. The "Mkhitar Sebastatsi" Educomplex is one of the schools where that transition is fluent, and very often the age barrier has been removed, and there exists an interesting teacher-student format. We will have big achievements if we are able to implement the idea of further education. For example, there will be a real change if we make the activity part obligatory for the standards of each school subject. We might as well include the further education in the teachers' workload, and then we will try to accelerate the urgent reforms of our high school, in general, revise all the standards of public education", stated the minister, accentuating that the "Mkhitar Sebastatsi" Educomplex is in quite a good condition in many aspects and has a special budgetary funding. "Any child should be able to realize how he/she will use the knowledge acquired at school," added the minister.                         "
Ashot Bleyan, the director of the Educomplex, spoke about the summer plans of the Educomplex, accentuating that they are good opportunities for both the children and teachers. "We mustn't paraphrase the three-month-holiday  into we have got rid of the school. Real opportunities are created in summer", said he, adding that the Educomplex is going to have its own  educational racecourse and a new sweeming pool.
