A Day With The Guests From Holland

A group of translators from 11-5
Submitted by Sh. Aslanyan

Today we came to school as usual and didn’t expect to receive so many guests from Holland. We were pleasantly surprised at meeting them. We also had an opportunity to tell them about our school life, our activities etc. Many of the guests were teachers and school managers who were greatly interested in our educational programs and methods of teaching, using media technology. Our guests were glad to get to know this educational complex and its innovative teaching program. During their two-hour stay at our school they had a short meeting with high school students at the library who freely communicated with them in English answering their questions telling about their school. Than they made a short tour about the school visiting classrooms, computer rooms with smart boards and labs for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The guests were also taken to the green house located on the second floor. During the long break both the schoolchildren and the guests danced to the music of Armenian traditional Kochari. They were also invited to see our guest home and offered to stay there if they liked it. The guests from Holland also wanted to see other schools located in this area and meet and speak to schoolchildren to know them more closely. Many of them were teachers of Chemistry, Physics and Biology who were interested to see our labs and I think they liked our labs. They liked not only our labs but also our schoolchildren who to their opinion are active, creative, open minded and organized. They were surprised to see children with physical disorders integrated in our community. They were much impressed by our progressive minded headmaster Mr. Bleyan and his great energy. One of them said, “You  are lucky to study at a school like this under the guidance of a headmaster like Mr. Bleyan.
