A Piece of Art in Gyumri

On april 22 a big group of Sebastatsies went toGyumri to visit the exhibition“Will for Life”.  The fine art works by  Arman Grigoryan, Grigor Khachatryan, Gagik Charchyan, Arshak Sargsyan, Harutyun Sargsyan and 38 other modern artists were exhibited there. The exhibition was impressive; it proved that fine art still lives in Armenia… It lives with a full life. There is a misunderstanding that there are no modern artists or there are a few of them in Armenia, but once again this exhibition proved that there are many of them and they differ, they just need to be recognized. Artists presented different opinions and viewpoints over the same problem. We also walked around ancient Gyumri which still breathes thanks to art. We looked at the unique buildings and walked in the park. We found out that an architect from Gyumri had participated in the construction of Tbilisi, and we understood the reason why we can see some similarity in Gyumri’s and Tbilisi’s architecture. With the best impressions of the exhibition and part of Gyumri’s calmness we came back to noisy Yerevan.
