Last Thursday we had a discussion at our English speaking club on the topic "We are building our future". After our oral discussion I asked the participants to make up dialogues on this topic. Here are some of them:
Eva and Christina
Christina: Hi, what’s your name?
Eva: Eva, and yours?
Christina: Christina!!!
Eva: What school are you from?
Christina: It is a private school in Kanaker. How long have you been attending this school?
Eva: Since kindergarten, and I am already tired of this school, but only two years is left before finishing it, so I will stay here.
Christina: I have changed 6 schools on the whole. It’s not so fun.
Eva: Why that much?
Christina: For different reasons. We moved around a lot, 2 of my schools closed up…
Eva: What hobbies do you have?
Christina: I love reading very much. I also like to make short films about my adventures. I make videos and then edit them and make them into a film. What else do you like to do besides playing the violin?
Eva: I really love swimming. I go to the swimming pool every summer, because I don’t have time at school time, I also love to spend time with friends, it’s the best thing if you are free.
Christina: Right now I am reading Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice”, I like drama, mystery, adventure (the same with movies J). What genres do you like? I can show you my films when we have time JIt’s very good that you like sports, it will keep you healthy!!!
Eva: I like drama, adventure too, also science fiction and horror.
Where do you want to study?
Christina: I want to study at American University in Yerevan to get the bachelor’s degree in English and Communications. What about you?
Eva: I want to study abroad. At first I will go to Komitas Conservatory, and then I will do my best to master in another country. Do ever think of going to another country?
Christina: I sometimes think about it but I want to study here because I love Armenia and I want to stay here. Do you want to live in Armenia when you grow up?
Eva: Well, maybe I will prefer to come and enjoy my vacations here, but not to live here . Now I am studying at Tchaykowski Musical School, Grade 10.
