A Day From Our Summer Camp Life

Today a meeting with an expert on culture and ethnographer Levon Abrahamyan took place. He took the floor with an open presentation- ‘Rituals, myths and symbols in S. Parajanov's movies. He told us that previously the film had been called ‘ Sayat Nova’, but later they changed the name into "The Pomegranate Colour". The lecturer also told us that he had played in some episodes of that film. It tells us about Sayat Nova’s life. A lot of symbols have been used in the film making process. Some of them were invented by Parajanov. But there are also symbols taken from Armenian ethnography and poetry.
