Shushan Balayan is telling about her host family in Tbilisi

First of all I’d like to mention that I was very happy to visit Georgia. Our group, the children there and Tbilisi itself were all good. I’d like to speak about my host family in Tbilisi. To tell the truth I was a little afraid and wondered where I would live and what kind of people my hosts would be, and whether they would understand me or not.  

On the first day, after the concert I was told where I was going to live… at Anastasia Takaeva’s. A blue-eyed girl with long hair came up to me. It was obvious that she was Russian. We went out of the school and saw her parents. They also had a Slavonic appearance. So everybody in their family spoke Russian. I understood them quite well but at first I was afraid of making mistakes in my Russian speech. They were so hospitable that soon I ceased to be shy and began communicating with them in Russian without being afraid of my mistakes. I am very happy to get acquainted with Anastasia who is a little shy, but at the same time a cheerful and wonderful person.I told them about my preferences and future plans. I hope that on the whole they understood my Russian sentences full of grammar and vocabulary mistakes. So I lived in their family according to their routine of everyday life. Every morning Nastia woke me up with her cold hands. That was a good way of waking me up.
