English Speaking Club, October 11

The topic for today's discussion was "What makes sense in our life?"
I asked the students to write a composition on this topic. Here are some of them:

Hovhannes Alekyan, Grade 10
What does life mean to me? To remain alive and feel every possible feeling: happiness, sadness, love, triumph, frustration and so on. I am sure you would like to know why I want to feel sadness and frustration. The answer is quite simple. If I don't feel sadness, I won't understand what happiness is and so I will underestimate it. So I have to understand sadness to appreciate happiness.

Sevak Sergeyan, Grade 10
The meaning of life is in progress. For example, I should be better than my parents. Everyone has his own aims in life. My aim is to go to university, to become a good specialist in order to improve the living conditions of my parents. I want to have a good job and a good family. I think I will achieve my aims.

Lilit Gevorgyan, Grade 10
People can't live without love. If there is no love, life is good for nothing. Life becomes senseless without friends. When you have friends and parents whom you love, life can continue with some meaning.

Arman Bleyan
I have some aims in my life and the meaning of my life is achieving my aims. For example I want to become a businessman. I have some other aims in my life. If I achieve these aims my life will have a sense.
