Sophie Khachatryan, our student of Grade 10, has made a video film based on the poem "Bluebird" by Charles Bukowsky.
Frankly speaking, when Shushan Mikoyan sent me the link to that film, I watched it and didn't understand anything. Then I watched it for the second and third times. She spoke in a low voice and so fast, and the subtitles vanished before I managed to read them. Then I searched for the lyrics of the poem "Bluebird". After I had read the poem twice I understood it. It is a great poem. "Bluebird" is a person's sacred dream, a piece of subtle emotion that you do not want to speak out. I believe that Charles Bukowsky didn't want to share his "Bluebird" with anybody.
I found several other video films on the Youtube trying to interpret Charles Bukowsky's poem. I may say that Sophie Khachatryan's film is not bad as compared with others. I appreciate the poetic spirit with which she made this film.
