The Harisa Ritual in the Educomplex

Our Mathematics teacher Smbat Petrosyan has written a report about the Harisa Ritual in the Educomplex within the framework of the festive Sebastatsi Days. 

On November 10 Harisa Ritual was celebrated in the "Mkhitar Sebastatsi" Educational Complex. The festive events started with a marathon from Republican Square to "Mkhitar Sebastatsi" Educomplex. Then Harisa was anointed at Holy Trinity Church. The anointment ceremony was followed by an outdoor concert outside the church. Armenian folk dances and songs were performed. At the end of the concert all the schoolchildren, parents, teachers and guests walked to their schools. They were treated to Harisa there. All the participants highly appreciated the efforts of the Educomplex to instill love and respect towards national traditions and ethnographical dances and songs.
