Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex

Yerevan Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia is an experimental-research organization, where author educational programs are developed, organized and disseminated.   

Author (state alternative) public educational programs

• Pre-school education: 2-4-year-old children’s development groups, teaching 5-year-old children
• Basic education: Grades 1-3, Grades 4-5, Grades 6-9
• Secondary education: Grades 10-12
  Learner’s individual curriculum

Professional pilot educational programs with licensed professions

• Vocational education on the basic and secondary educational basis
• Three-year vocational teaching on the basis of basic education
• One-year vocational teaching on the basis of secondary education

Further education for the learners and adults of all ages

A complete attractive educational environment of self-expression for the one who:

• learns to think by studying,
• prefers creative work and missioner’s soul,
• considers education to be inseparable from freedom,
• continually develops his/her abilities and personal qualities, empowers his/her will,
• makes the environment well-groomed, interesting and attractive, becomes more prudent, polite and becomes a real patriot of his/her country,
• uses media at home, at school everywhere, studies, translates, transfers,
• maintains the mother tongue and culture rich and alive.

The educational program with its educational calendar and educational projects; Beginning from Grade 1 individualization of curriculums through courses of choice, activities, courses of further education; open juvenile clubs of developing preferences; annual creative open gatherings of educators, reviews, festivals, exhibitions and expeditionary-sport camps established by the educational calendar;  educational vacations, teachers’ and learners’ vacational educational projects; educator’s all year round school, further education; organization of prolonged day; non-stop teaching; learners’ safe transportation.  

The media environment for the realization of educational programs: 
Multilingual website, sub-websites of schools and educational centers, pedagogical, juvenile and children’s magazines and periodicals, educators’ personal blogs, learners’ personal blogs beginning from Grade 3, permanent access to the Internet, wireless connection all through the Educomplex, electronic interactive boards, video projectors; learners and teachers attend the schools of the Educomplex with their personal computers, constant use of digital cameras and recorders.      

The physical environment for the realization of educational programs:
Transparent, large classrooms and studies, open halls, specialized laboratories-workshops-studios; an agricultural training farm with its horse training yard and greenhouse nursery school; maintenance of   domestic animals and birds; the school yards are areas of the Educomplex project “Educational Garden in a Residential Area”. Maintenance and development of the educational environment is considered educational work.
