Art Arates

The English translation has been done with some reductions.

This three-day camp was not an ordinary camp in nature. It was a trip to Art Arates full of unforgettable impressions, positive new perceptions and acquiring new acquaintances. Everything created by both nature and people was beautiful and unique. That is why, I can say that Arates is art.

The First day: I have always liked going on long trips but I liked this one more because I got to know my new friends better. On getting to our destination, we put our things in the cottages and began to study the territory of the Arates Schooling Center. Everything was ahead … We made our meal together, and this atmosphere was like the one in our families. In the result of that we acquired confidence in each other and got more interested in one another. So, the first day could be named “closeness”.

The Second Day: Although we had to wake up at 7:00 am, we all woke up two hours earlier. The interest was so great. After having breakfast, we set off to Smbataberd. It is an ancient castle on top of a mountain. It is 2000 meters above the sea level. We managed to overcome all the difficulties and soon we were all on top of the mountain where the Smbataberd is located. While we were climbing up, I very often stopped and took photos of different insects, colorful flowers and plants. We recited Charents’s prayer like poem “Ես իմ անուշ Հայաստանի” on top of the mountain, and that was the highlight of our ascent.

There was not an end to the second day as we met the dawn and the sunrise around the campfire.

The Third Day: That was the day of our departure. We had to leave Arates, and that’s why I was a little sad. I liked this educational trip because I discovered Art Arates.
