We took part in the church blessing ceremony with our songs

Three festivities were being celebrated in the village of Lchashen today: the church blessing ceremony, opening ceremonies of the palace of culture and the public garden. Our "Sebastatsiner" choir was also invited to take part in these ceremonies. It was our first participation in such kind of ceremonies which were interesting and obligating. 

When we got to the village we were met by the school headmaster and his assistent. They showed us around the village and told us its history. We visited the site where archaeological explorations had been done. We saw the inscription done by King Argishti A.

The weather was unusually changeable: the sun and rain replaced each other every other minute. Then we sang in the palace of culture. We anointed it with the songs by Komitas and expressed our wish that only such music should sound in that palace. Lake Sevan was waiting for us then.
