I Had Another View of Tbilisi

Suren Karapetyan's Impressions on the Visit to Tbilisi

It is already two days that since we came back from Tbilisi, and I can't concentrate and tell you my impressions on the trip to Tbilisi. I had already been to Tbilisi several times beforew this ediucational trip and some places of interest and districts were familiar to me. But this time I had another view of Tbilisi. Maybe the reason was that Georgian Armenians were accompanying us, showing and telling us everything. I was living in Havlabar, the Armenian block in Tbilisi. I would get happy when having spoken a few words in Russian, I realized that my interlocutor was Armenian.  We went sightseeings in the center of Tbilisi. Some sights reminded me of Yerevan. But unlike Yerevan Tbilisi is rich in blocks of old houses, whereas our Yerevan is becoming a city of newly built many storeyed buildings day by day. Our days in Tbilisi were busy and interesting. We learned so many things there which can't be read in any books. The River Kur was very beautiful. It flows through the whole Tbilisi. I wish the Hrazdan River flowing through Yerevan awoken the same pleasant feelings in me. I will always remember these five days because I have also made neww friends there. I will remember Havlabar, Rustaveli Street, Rope Way, The River Kur and Church Sameba which is seen from everywhere. I am thankful to our Educomplex for giving me such a chance.
