Peace to the Planet Earth

Several years ago I wrote my wish on the eve of the New Year. Now I want to remind you about it. It is just the time to do so.

It takes the Earth 365 days to cover the unbelievably long distance round the Sun and come to the same spot on the 31 of December at exactly midnight welcoming the New Year.

365 days means that the Earth also has rotated round its axis 365 times. 4,5 billion years ago the Moon became the Earth's natural satellite and that was the beginning of favourable conditions for life on our planet. Since then the Earth has never failed to do its duty, to rotate round its axis and to go round the Sun at a speed of nearly 30 km ps(108000 km ph). During these 4,5 billion years it has never accelerated its speed or slowed down. It has never changed the parametres of its movement despite man's destroying activities (wars, nuclear weapon testings and other technodisasters).

I wish people were as kind, hard working and faithful to life as the Earth itself.

Happy New Year, Happy New Year, Happy New Year
