Summer Session of the EYP

The Summer session organized by the EYP (European Youth Parliament) was over two days ago. Now I will try to summarize the five working days of the session. During the opening ceremony the group of our Educomplex were wearing T-shirts provided by our school. ESS (European Summer Session) and mskh were written on the front and back sides of these T-shirts. During the opening ceremony the representatives of the participating schools made their greeting speeches. I liked the fact that the representative of our school Vahram Tokmajyan made his speech in English. We are Armenians, and our state language is Armenian but this is an international event....

The summer school session lasted 5 days, and during these five days we communicated in English. We represented our school. We had prepared quite well and I think we represented our school in a proper way. The Talent Night  was impressive. I played the guitar and sang a song. I sang another song with a student, Arayik by name, from Yerevan State Polytechnical Yuniversity. I enjoyed singing in that duet.

One day we visited Ararat Hall  restaurant, where the chef informed us a little about Armenian cuisine.

During those five days we played different interesting and amusing games. One of the games was Ninja  which reminded me of my favourite Izmir Space Camp. On the fourth and fifth days we did some research work with the help of our group supervisor. Our topic was "Education and Culture", and our mission was to find the ways to pass on to future profession through education. It is a very vital topic. I liked the supervisors of our group Vahan and Svetlana because they were working very energetically, and we were inspired by their enthusiasm.

We were also cheered by Ms Marta's visits.

On the last day each school presented their work  and the presentations were followed by debates. The works were evaluated by the students which I didn't like at all because the result was unfair.

There are a lot of picturesque places in Armenia, and I would like the five days of the session to be spent in one of these picturesque places. The work would have been more interesting and effective, as our working day lasted from 10:00 till 20:00.

In the result of the forum I used my knowledge of the English language in practice, got acquainted with the students from other schools, presented our Educomplex.

We became members of EYP.

P.S. Here is the link of my song performance.
