Our English Lesson

Anna Mkrtchyan writes:

I would like to tell you about our today’s English lesson. I liked it and I think this lesson was one of the best lessons for me during the whole school year, because I like speaking and discussing topics and today we spent our two English lessons only on speaking and discussing different topics. During the first lesson Mr. Yura suggested some titles of topics and we were to speak on that topic for 60 seconds without stopping. Nina Hovhannisyan was our time keeper. The task was difficult but also very interesting and creative. One has to be intelligent, well informed and quick witted in order to cover a topic for such a short time without stopping the narration. Unfortunately one hour was enough for each of us to speak only on two topics. My topics were “Fast Food” and “Choosing Professions”. During the second hour our class was divided into two groups or rather into two teams, fors and pros, to debate on different topics. The first topic was “Should school block YouTube during the lesson?” and the second one was “Should History lessons be compulsory at school?” I wish we had recorded that lesson. It was such a hot debate.
