Eco Educational Exchange Program: Stepanakert

For the purpose of eco educational exchange programs we have been hosted in Stepanakert, the capital city of Artsakh for the period of October 20-24. Before we got to our destination we stopped in Sevan and Dadivank. On arriving at school number 7 in Stepanakert we got acquainted with the families who were to host us in their homes. In the evening we went out for a walk. On October 21 we had an eco lesson during which we presented our school website and the Eco Tour. We watched the eco films made by the winners of the previous Eco Tour. Artsakh TV was also present and they were shooting a film about our presentations. Then we set off to Shushi and visited Ghazanchetsots Church, the geological museum. After that we returned to Stepanakert and listened to the outdoor concert next to the central square. Ruben Sahakyan was singing Armenian folk and patriotic songs. After the concert we all went to the flats of our hosting families. Our hosting family treated us to traditional dishes. Ani and I are being hosted by the family of Aspram Israyelyan, a learner of School 1 in Stepanakert. Their family is very hospitable. We have already managed to talk about the differences of educational systems of Armenia and Artsakh. Aspram's mother is a lecturer and director of Artsakh Dialectology Center. We have arranged to have a lesson on Artsakh dialect. We want to learn the most common words and expressions in Artsakh dialect in order to be able to communicate with our Artsakh friends more easily.... Our unforgettable days are still ahead of us.
