A Trip to Dilijan

Liana Amirkhanyan, Grade 12

I will never remove October 5 from my memory. It was a gloomy and rainy day, but it was not an ordinary day day for the Country Studies Club members. We were getting ready for a trip to Dilijan. It was cold but were were so happy and inspired that we didn't feel it. We set off at 8:00. There were games, jokes and songs on the way. We didn't even notice the time. At first we went to Haghartsin.... It was so old and at the same time so magnificent that we couldn't describe in words what we felt. We also saw that legendary tree which remained erect despite having been struk by lightning. Then we went to Goshavank. The walls were old, the atmosphere was old, the history was old. We were amazed and at the same time we had a feeling of pride when we were looking at that masterpiece. Then we went to Lake Clear. I can't find words to describe that beauty. We stayed there for a long time and even saw some wild ducks. We understood that different places in our country could be so different and at at the same so similar to one another. After catching a bit of cold we got on the bus and left Dilijan. My impressions were so great that I was impatiently waiting to tell everything to my parents. Maybe that was my last visit that place, maybe I will not be able to visit there again but this trip will forever remain in my memory.
