The meaning of happiness

The Armenian text by Sona Grigoryan  Grade 11

During our life we accumulate hundreds and thousands of happy moments; we subconsciously enjoy and subconsciously lose them. That is the reason why people always think that sad moments accumulate more than the good ones. Our sensual world changes in the course of time, so does our attitude towards the world. For that reason each of us has permanent and changeable reasons for happiness. Some things never bore us and give happiness in a unique way; there are also some things that made us happy in the past, but now upset us or don’t make us feel anything.

"The meaning of happiness shouldn't be felt, thought over or wished for...one should only stiffen, stiffen, stiffen..." This idea expressed by Isahakyan makes me guess that the meaning of happiness is an infinity that can't be realized and neither can we realize the meaning of sadness. While stiffening we keep silent, and maybe, Isahakyan found the meaning of happiness in silence. We can't manage to keesilent, listen to our silence, and to understand what generally makes us happy and what upsets us, as our daily worries and problems never leave us alone.
