This Note of Mine: With Unbearable Love

Ashot Bleyan's diary notes published on July 23

Margaret and Nvard, the wonderful Sargsyan-Sebastatsi sisters with their Areg and Narek sonnies were our dear and always expected guests, and we had a peaceful evening at our place with them who were once my students and school-leavers, are my today’s colleagues and also my pupils' mothers. We were satisfied with our longing for mere human communication. I can't stand the official visits on the occasion of the New Year and other holidays so much that we merely avoid them. But such girlie-friendly visits are always pleasantly welcome. We need them as we consider them to be bridges transmitted to our children. Davit speaks and will speak so much about his impressions: “Narek and Areg are good, daddy, let them come again, I do not beat them. I love them”. Here is Davit’s capacious conclusion. But time is passing, and Aida Petrosyan's all-mighty Tigran Parsilyan, who was once my student and school-leaver, my today's colleague, Nvard's husband and Areg's father, takes them away in his car. Have a good trip, Tigran, and God Bless You. I wish Tigran didn’t appear in the Center’s police station. Such type of a man is Tigran: an undefended defender of other people’s human rights.

A unknown and respectful reader of my diary is interested in our campaign “Public Educational Piano”. I am answering with love as an offer-request in the director’s blog.

Dear teacher, learner, parent, colleague, friend, it is a good sign that we are still in need of musical instruments in our Educomplex. We are again turning to You with a request. We again need to get pianos as soon as possible. The principle is the same: if You give us a piano as a present we will be thankful. If You find and offer it to us we will buy it and again be thankful to You. We are waiting for Your response. You may telephone 010 74 72 46, or write[email protected]

I want to add that we will organize the transportation of the presented or suggested piano.

My next in turn meeting with the group of representatives of the Ministry of Defense led by Colonel Arushanyan, took place in our playgrounds under construction. However unbelievable it may seem let me remind, surprise and delight the reader that the official opening of the stadiums, which are being constructed now, is marked to take place on August 23, 2014. This is the defense minister's order which is not to be discussed: it is to be fulfilled. So let's obediently do the day's work.

Two things tie me and my family up with Yerevan with an unbearable love, and make our departing more difficult, in spite of the fact that the needs of the family, and those of Shushan who is in Yerevan now, demand something else.

The one thing is Arminae's mother who is confined to bed, under our care, and I am responsible for a person who has become helpless, no matter how Arminae, her dear sister Ruzan and her husband are trying to spare me and my busy time. The second thing is the construction of these stadiums and the woks being done for the modernization and completion of the mobile-open environment in the buildings of the Educomplex which are to be completed in July-August.

And now let me express my idea about what is unbearable which is very much used in our speech. What you bear is still bearable. You won't bear it as soon as it becomes unbearable. Words are useless here, aren't they? This is my attitude towards closed environment, stupid walls and restrictions. They are pulled down at the moment they become unbearable like the walls now in the Media Center and Fine Art School. I couldn’t bear them.

Political event number one: The fact: Sebastatsi school-leaver Boris Yenikolopov, our New School headmistress Karinae Petrosyan’s son, has married his neighbor Milena, and they live in the Enicolopovs' house in Artsakh, Martakert.

A political comment on the fact: “Boris Yenicolopov, you are right. You are the prince of Martakert. You with your esteemed family are Artsakh for me now. Karinae Petrosyan, my sister, has patiently prepared for this day for so many years. I kiss Yoy, and God Bless Your family.

Political event number two: The fact: the next in turn group of Sebastatsies have gone to Georgia to take part in an eco-camp realizing a next in turn educational project

Political comment on the fact: From European Armenia, South-West district of Yerevan-Bangladesh I am greeting our representatives in European Georgia. Go ahead, Hasmik Nalbandyan and friends, remove all borders, create Armenian-Georgian bilateral busy bridges.
